201 Chapin Street South Bend, IN , 46601 Phone: 574-235-9714 Website The Studebaker National Museum displays a variety of automobiles, wagons, carriages, and military vehicles related to the Studebaker Corporation and other aspects of American history.
It consists of three floors. The main level displays Studebaker's history and vehicles from the 1800s to 1934. The upper level displays vehicles from 1934 onward. The lower level displays military vehicles and equipment and additional vehicles in "viewable storage" (stacked on lifts but still viewable). A secondary area on the main level displays the family history of the Studebakers and the Olivers, South Bend makers of the Oliver Chilled Plow and other farm equipment.
The Penny machine is located inside the Studebaker museum gift shop. As soon as you enter the gift shop on the left side. You do not have to pay admission to have access to the machine.
Machine 2: Located to the right down the hall in a large gift shop. The cost is .75 each. All have South Bend, In on the bottom of the penny. Designs are:
1) Studebaker logo,
2) Front of a Studebaker,
3) Studebaker Museum,
4) Classic Studebaker.
Retired 1: 1) Wheel logo, 2) Packard Predictor, 3) Studebaker Hawk, 4) Old Studebaker.
