It was opened in 1978 and has around 1.3 million visitors annually (2019). The animal population consists of 4,509 individuals and is made up of 505 species] from all over the world. The zoo is one of two state-sponsored zoos in the United States, along with the North Carolina Zoo.
Admission is required to get to the machine.

1/5/25. New Penny Machine 11 is outside the indoor bird show near the Minnesota trail. Cost is 1 dollar. You can use a card if you want all 4. Didn't take a picture but the designs are a tiger, otter or Leopard
On 3/19/25 I did a mail off. And received the pressed pennys on 3/29/25 and thay look great Rbp tec 5784
