Charleston, SC , 29401 Phone: 843-720-1990 Website The South Carolina Aquarium, located in Charleston, opened on May 19, 2000 on the historic Charleston Harbor. It is home to more than ten thousand plants and animals including River Otters, Loggerhead Sea Turtles, Alligators, Great Blue Herons, Hawks, Owls, Seahorses, Jellyfish, Puffer Fish, Moray Eels, Horseshoe Crabs, Sea Stars, Pythons, and Sharks. The largest exhibit in the Aquarium is the Great Ocean Tank, which extends from the first to the third floor of the Aquarium; it holds more than 385,000 US gallons of water and contains more than three hundred animals. The Aquarium also features a Touch Tank, where patrons may touch Horseshoe Crabs, Atlantic Stingrays, and other marine animals.

4/18 Machine 6 is retired. The new Machine 8 designs reflect the Sea Turtle Rescue operation now taking place at the aquarium.
05/21/23: Machine 7 designs match the pictures but rolling much better than pictured. It has stickers over old designs.
Machine 5 has a die change, American Alligator has been replaced with Great Blue Heron as pictured from retired Machine 4.
Machine 8 is the new die machine with stickers over the old pictured dies. All are mules and rolling nice on copper.
They are all on the 2nd floor together near the touch tank and the change machine is still next to them.
There is a parking garage for the Aquarium & Fort Sumter NHP (has a token which I will post). $1.00 / 1/2 hr. Tickets are online, timed entry only. JLT

12/29/2023 UPDATE: All the machines are on the second floor in the same area near the kid play area. The designs on the pennies have not changed but they do not take Quarters and pennies are provided.
There was a token machine also in the same location, but it was out of order.
The penny machines were in a great spot and worked very well the quality of the photo on the penny was perfect.
