Free to the public, The Oak Park Conservatory offers a rich atmosphere of flora and fauna throughout three indoor Conservatory showrooms including a Mediterranean room, Tropical room and Desert room. Urban outdoor gardens surround this city escape, representing Illinois native ecosystems in the outdoor Elsie Jacobsen Discovery Garden & Rubinstein Garden. Sweeps of Illinois native grasses welcome you as you enter our front doors. Come and visit our hidden oasis. <p> It is located by the reception desk. Admission is free but a donation is suggested. There are 3 designs, <br> 1) The conservatory, <br> 2) a Venus flytrap caricature, <br> 3) A Parrot (the conservatory's parrot is named George). <p> 10/18: This machine was installed <p> 2/11/23 - still there and operational. Arrow alignment now fixed.
