Comments:	Free family fun at one of the Black Hills’ original tourist attractions, open to the public since 1936. Dinosaur Park is located on a ridge of sandstone that encircles the Black Hills. Along this ridge dinosaurs of the Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous have been found. Not far from the park dinosaur footprints have been found. Dinosaur Park is the oldest Dinosaur Park in the country. In this park are seven "life-size" concrete and steel reproductions of extinct creatures. Six are dinosaur and one is a mammal-like or synapsid reptile.<p> Hours of operation for the park: Monday through Sunday 5:00 am to 10:00 pm.<br> Hours of operation for the visitors center/gift shop: May 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, June through July 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, August 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, September 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed October through April. A Penny Passport book for $5.99 and a Medallion Collector book are for sale in the gift shop.
