Comments:	The name Pressed Penny Tavern pays homage to an elaborate swimming pool built at Hemingway's home in Key West. While Hemingway himself planned the project, his wife Pauline oversaw the construction while he was traveling as a war correspondent. It is said that Hemingway flung a penny onto the pool patio protesting, "You've spent all but my last penny, you might as well have that!" Since opening a bar can be quite a challenge and might take your last penny getting it off the ground, it seemed to be a fitting name. Great food and drink abound here. Try the mac and cheese; it's awesome!<p> Hours of operation: Tuesday through Friday 2:00 pm to 1:30 am, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am to 1:30 am. Closed Monday.
