The primary building of the Museum is the former Carson City Mint. The exhibits include: The world's largest exhibited Columbian Mammoth (found in the Black Rock Desert), the silver service from the USS Nevada and North America's oldest mummy, the Spirit Cave mummy.
No admission charge to enter the building to press the pennies. Hours of operation: Wednesday through Sunday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Closed major Holidays.
Plenty of free parking.
The penny machine is located inside the museum gift/book shop, down the hall by the bathrooms. Designs all with 'Nevada State Museum':
