Centrepoint NSW - Sydney, Australia, 2000 5/21/17: Machine/ designs gone.
Two single dies were available to roll during the 7th Olymphilex Exhibition in Sydney which took place during the Olympic Games 15-28th Sept. 2000. Both designs were identical but one was on a penny and the other on a half penny. Believe there was a parallel exhibition (same dates) at the Royal Mint in Canberra, Australia but unknown if machine(s) located here also.
Image(s) of Australian 1p and half penny uploaded.
Possibly an attended machine(s) as there were a small number of surplus ec's after the exhibition, these went to a coin dealer in Victoria,
Update - The coins were rolled to order in the US by Ray Dillard (1925-2020) and shipped to Australia. Mr Dillard also rolled the design on commemorative US Quarters, Half dollar and Sacagawea Dollar coins. |
