Our volunteers lead demonstrations in blacksmithing, and panning for gold. Tour the oldest freight station still in existence in the West and see so much more! Although the hours are posted below, please note the Pioneer Village is staffed with volunteer help and their availability to have the village open may depend on the weather or their health.
The gates to the Village are open between the hours of 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. They are closed on Mondays.
The machine is just inside the main gates. Designs are:
1) Entrance to Pioneer Village main workshop,
2) Gold miner panning for gold,
3) Rainbow Bridge over the American River,
4) Pony Express rider.
