Prague Zoo is a Zoo in Prague, Czech Republic. It was opened in 1931 with the goal to "advance the study of zoology, protect wildlife, and educate the public" in the district of Troja in the north of Prague. In 2013, the Zoo occupied a total of 140 acres with 110 acres in use for exhibits and housed about 4,200 animals that represented almost 650 species. This includes 132 species listed as threatened.

There are six token machines located around the zoo, none of them accessible without admission. Each machine dispenses two different tokens, each featuring a different animal. The machines, which do not return change, require either 30 koruna or 1.5 euro, payable with any koruna coin or the 1 and 0.5 euro coins.

Token Machine 1 is located at the southwest corner of the Education Center close to the main entrance.
Designs are a Tortoise and a Seal.

Token Machine 2 is located by the Polar Bears.
Designs are an Orangutan and a Polar Bear.

Token Machine 3 is located at the crossroads between the Elephants and Wolves;
Designs are an Elephant and a Hippopotamus.

Token Machine 4 is located at the crossroads between the Cheetahs and the Squirrel Monkeys.
Designs are a Tiger and a Gorilla.

Token Machine 5 is located on the south wall of the souvenir shop at the base of the chairlift.
Designs are a Komodo dragon and a Lion.

7/19/16: The gift shops at the Gocár house in the zoo’s northwest corner and the main gift shop by the Education Center sell collectible books containing twelve tokens.
