This is not a crushed penny but a Token/coin machine.

The machine is located inside the vestibule of the main gift shop, accessible without admission. It requires 8 zloty in coins to dispense one of three different tokens. Clerks would not give change. The machine is by Polish company Zlota Polska, which also operates many other machines around Poland.
