100 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui Kowloon, Hong Kong Website Machine 1 is located inside the gift shop on the left hand side near the cash register. You do not need to pay the museum admission fee to access the gift shop. Each pressed "penny" costs a $10 coin. All designs have 'Hong Kong' on them. It is a crank machine. The "penny" does come out a bit curved, not completely flat, which is normal. Designs are:
1) Chinese boat,
2) Lion dance,
3) Rickshaw pulled by a man carrying a passenger,
4) Hong Kong skyline.
Machine 2 is used for the 'Amazing Coin Press Workshop' which is located at the right of the main entrance. It is a free workshop that each participant can press out one coin. Please check the museum website for the workshop schedule. All have 'Museum of History', 'Hong Kong' on them. Designs are:
1) Rotary telephone,
2) Old-style letter box,
3) Hundred-years old fire engine from the Hong Kong Fire Brigade 'H. K. F. B.',
4) Old-style coal iron.
