Opening in 1992, the museum sits on about 4,500 square meters (48,000 square feet), including the outside park on the surrounding property. Within the 645 exhibits, there are skeletons, reproductions and originals finds of Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurs, Pterosaurs, 'featured' Dinosaurs, Archaeopteryx eggs and embryos and footprints. The annual excavations at the “Howe Dinosaur Quarry” in Wyoming, USA contribute significantly to the success of the Aathal Dinosaur Museum.
Hours of operation: Tuesday through Saturday 10.00 (10:00 am) to 17.00 (5:00 pm), Sunday 10.00 (10:00 am) to 18.00 (6:00 pm). Closed Monday. Free car parking spaces are located at the Dino road overpass in front of the museum. Further car parking spaces can be found on the other side of the street behind the houses.
Admission: (Prices are in Swiss Francs) Adults 21.00, Children 5 to 16 years old 11.00. If you ask nicely, they might let you in without paying the admission.
Machine 1 is upstairs in the children's area next to the cafeteria. Cost to press: One 2 Swiss Franc coin or two 1 Swiss Franc coins and a 20 Rappen coin (CHf 2.20). Designs all have a Swiss flag, and beaded border with 'SaurierMuseum Aartal':
