The Fernbank Science Center is a museum, classroom, and woodland complex. It is owned and operated by the DeKalb County School System, which announced in May 2012 it was considering closing the facility to cut its annual budget, then quickly shelved the plan after public outcry. The nearby Fernbank Museum of Natural History is a private non-profit organization that is separate from the Science Center.
Admission to the Science Center is free;
Parking is also free.
Machine 3 (New) Located in the main exhibit hall bottom floor right of steps which is the one eminently left of the main entrance. It is a zinc machine. $1 bill and it provides the penny.

1/11/2024: The school district runs the museum and has limited hours - check before visiting. On the morning I visited, it didn't open until noon. jnm
