While it is a great place to “wander and watch,” many visitors take advantage of the “discovery tour,” a guided behind-the-scenes program available daily in June, July and August. Check out the summer Tuesday night lecture series on animal related topics and the Friday night live music on the lawn. Open year round, hours vary according to the season.

January: 10am to 4pm* daily (5-8pm on Zoo Lights nights), February: 10am to 4pm* daily (6:30-8:30pm on Zoo Lights nights), March and April: 10am to 5pm* daily (Zoo Lights end March 4th), May: 9am to 6pm* daily, June, July and August: 9am to 9pm* daily, September: 9am to 6pm* daily, October: 10am to 5pm* daily, November: 10am to 4pm* daily (Zoo Lights begin November 24th), December: 10am to 4pm* daily (5-8pm on Zoo Lights nights)
Machine 2 (2018) designs all have 'Alaska Zoo' on the Back. Designs are:
