Pine Flat Lake is an artificial lake in the Sierra Nevada foothills of eastern Fresno County and is the western north-south border to the Sierra and Sequoia National Forests, about 30 mi east of Fresno.
The lake was formed by the construction of Pine Flat Dam on the Kings River in 1954 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers and has a storage capacity of 1,000,000 acre·ft of water. Although primarily designed for flood control, the project also provides for irrigation and groundwater recharge, recreation, and with the completion in 1984 of the Jeff L. Taylor Pine Flat Power Plant, generation of 165 MW hydroelectric power.

It appears it is an Army Corps machine located in their visitor center at Pine Flat Lake. There are similar machines located at the Army Corps visitor centers at Clarks Hill, SC, West Point Lake, GA and Moncure, GA. The lake is in Fresno County, CA.

06/08/23: The machine is really in the Army Corps of Engineers office, not a visitor center. Still free, just your penny. They rolled much better than pictured on copper.
Keep driving on Pine Flat Rd till it ends, turn left into the driveway. The office is to your right. The machine is just to the right after you walk in. JLT
