Christmas in the Park is an annual holiday tradition that takes place in the heart of Downtown San Jose at the Plaza de Cesar Chavez for over 30 years.
Each year, the two-acre park is transformed into a holiday fantasy with over 60 musical and animated exhibits, glittering lights and the 60-foot Community Giving Tree. Some of the original displays housed in one of the largest exhibits, the Lima Train, include a melting snowman, caroling mice and elf woodcrafters. Guests enter a winter wonderland of lights, songs and local entertainment while strolling through an enchanted forest of trees decorated by San José schools, community groups and businesses.

The machine is always located in the Information Booth in the middle of the park on the TECH museum side. The information booth closes at 10:30pm.

Retired 2020 designs were: All have 'Christmas in the Park 2020' on them. designs were: 1) 'A Drive Thru holiday', 2) Reindeer head, 3) Snowman, 4) Old truck over the image of California.

Retired 2019 designs were: 1) Round logo with toys over, 2) Steam engine, 3) Elf trouble', Elf in a circle. 4) 1980-2019, 40 years

Retired 2018 designs were: 1) Sleigh being pulled by Reindeer logo, 2) Elf's head in hat, 3) Christmas tree in snow globe, 4) 'Build a Bear Workshop', logo

Retired 2017 designs were: 1) 'Christmas in the Park' Logo, 2) Dated Christmas tree with presents under it. 3) Dated house with Gingerbread men in front, 4) Dated steam engine.
