Busan Tower Machine Locations > South Korea

Yongdusan Park
Busan, South Korea

Busan Tower is a 118 meter high (nearly 400 feet) tower at Yongdusan Park, located in Jung-gu, Busan. It was built in 1973 and it's only used for entertainment purposes and doesn't have any transmitting equipment which sets the tower apart from many other towers with observation decks primarily built as TV and radio towers. The deck features panoramic view and a small cafe, it's only accessible during working hours via two high-speed elevators. The base of the tower is interconnected with a few galleries and souvenir shops. The tower is usually mentioned in tourist guides as a good place to get a view of the city's port.

Admission (2019) is Adult 8,000 won / Children (ages 3-12) 6,000 won.

Machine 2 (2023) is in the shop where you can pick up photos that you purchased on the 2nd floor (moved from prior location) Admission is required. Costs 2,000 won per press on a blank (copper?) planchet. Machine is a 4 design (labeled 1-4 on selector) hand crank machine and takes credit card only.

Machine 2 rolling beautifully, except for design 3 rolls short, and attempt to adjust didn't work. Employees not super familiar with pressed pennies concept.
Fun hike from train station to the tower with pleasant view. -AJK, TEC#5075
