1000 Gordon M Buehrig Place Auburn, IN , 46706 Website To find the museum more easily, follow signs to the "Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum" at 1600 South Wayne Street. The National Automotive and Truck Museum (NATMUS) is on same property.
As of September 30, 2006, there was a 4-die manual machine in gift shop. You do not have to pay admission to reach it and it was pressing well. Go in the main entrance and machine is to the left next to the door where you start the tour. The hand crank is shaped like a car steering wheel and the wheel must be just past the arrow for the machine to accept the money.
Designs: 1) antique car w/ text "Home of the Classics, Auburn, Indiana" ; 2) Endeavor race truck w/ text "Endeavor III, World's Fastest Truck; 3) text, "NATMUS, Auburn, Indiana": 4) text, "NATMUS, 50 Year Car Show, Auburn, Indiana." All designs are horizontal.
06/07/19: Machine is still in the gift shop. The "50 year car show" penny didn't come down the chute. The gift shop guy said sometimes it falls behind the chute. My second try, it came out fine. All rolled decent on copper. JLT |
