700 East Grand Avenue Chicago, IL The hand-crank 4-die machine is just past the wall to the entrance to the Museum. You have to go through the Gift Shop ot reach it . There is still no admission charge to reach the machine. Museum hours were posted as 10am-5pm Fri.-Wed. and 10am-8pm on Thurs.
Although you do not have to pay to get into the gift shop or into Navy Pier itself, be forewarned that parking at Navy Pier carries a flat rate of $19 for any 24-hour period (2008 rates), and neighboring garages are often more expensive unless you get an early-bird special (in by 10 a.m. is around half price).
Machine 4 is at the entrance to the gift shop from the "mall" side (the main Navy Pier entrance. They cost $.51 each. All have "Chicago Children's Museum' on them. Designs are:
1) 'Nuchomimus', Dinolsaur,
2) 'Cloud Buster', machine,
3) 'Zoom Room', two cars,
4) Word logo.
Retired designs (Older): 1) Arthur's World, 2) Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, 3) Old hand logo,
Retired 2: 1) a Toy boat, 2) a toy house, 3) a Butterfly and 4) the Museum's Logo.
Retired 3: 1) Logo with hand on left, 2) 'Big Backyard', image, 3) Chicago Skyline, 4) 'Waterways', boat.
