P.O. Box 231 Moclips, WA , 98562 Phone: 360-276-4441 Website 7/05/17: I stopped by the Museum of the North Beach in Moclips Washington over the weekend. They have not had any of the elongated pennies in about a year and a half. The pennies were donated and were very popular! Unfortunately, they do not have a machine and have been unable to get in contact with the person who rolled the pennies. They said they would keep on trying, but it might be a long shot. RJF
The Museum of North Beach is unlike any other museum. It is a small cottage converted into a museum along US 109. Volunteers take care of the place so donations are encouraged. You will find a collection of artifacts, photos, documents and maps relating to the history of Moclips and the North Beach of Grays Harbor County (from Pt. Brown to the Quinault River). They also sell books, calendars, postcards, recipe books, photos, even sand dollars! Also for sale is the 1974 John Wayne movie, "McQ" filmed in Moclips. Do stop by and spend a some time browsing through the displays, and don't forget to make a donation!
The coins were produced as a private rolling (Rolled by Oded Paz). They retail for $2.00/ea to help fund the building of the new museum pictured on the EP. There might be more to come as we unravel the history of this outpost of the Northwest |
