Honeymoon and neighboring Caladesi Island were originally part of a large barrier island that split in half during a major hurricane in 1921. The waterway between the islands is known as Hurricane Pass.
Must pay admission. $4 for 1 person in a car. $8 for 2-8 people in a car. $2; per person on foot or bike.
The machine is on the ground level, on a walkway beneath the South Beach Pavilion. Designs are:
1) Leatherback Turtle,
2) Great Egret,
3) Osprey,
4) Lightning Whelk and Fighting Conch (both shells on one penny).
March 12 2025 - under the pavilion is roped off now and says do not enter. Did not see the machine around. Moved because of the hurricane last year maybe? |
