June 29, 2018: There are 3 Token machines now in front of St. St. Cyril and Methodius Church that give big golden color tokens. 2 machines are from Bulgarian Legacy (1 token each with ancient boat picture and Sozopol picture) and the new machine is from a competitive company - Golden Bulgaria - and gives 2 tokens (token A is the church; token B is view from Sozopol). Curentry, token B is out of stock, so if you press "B" you will get the church token again. According to the company token B will be restocked soon. ALL these coins cost 4 leva each exactly. For the older machines you need exact change (the machine does not give change), I think the new machine from Golden Bulgaria takes both exact change and leva bills.
Elongated coins (bigger than pennies) with turning handle - this new machine is located right across from the Black Sea on the South Fortress Wall of Ancient Apollonia panoramic walk, after restaurant Riviera and the fortress tower. There are 3 designs, and for each elongated coin you need to put exactly 1.50 leva in coins only. The machine does not give change and does not take bills. The machine is owned by Sozopol Foundation.
All proceeds from all machines in Bulgaria go to restoration and restoration of historic sites. (CR /NJ & BG) |
