The 19th-century Victorian, which was used in the exterior and some interior scenes of Ralphie Parker's house in the 1983 film A Christmas Story, was purchased by a private developer in 2004 and has been restored and renovated to appear as it did both inside and outside in the film. The museum is part of a complex of four buildings devoted to the film and is open to the public year-round.
Hours of operation: Monday through Sunday. Seasonal, check the website. As short as 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and as long as 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. In addition, they are closed the last 2 full weeks in February for yearly maintenance.
Two free parking lots. The first parking lot is located directly to the left of the House. The second parking lot is located to right of the Gift Shop.
Admission: You do not have to pay admission to visit the gift shop. General $20, Children under 5 Free. A Christmas Story Penny book for $3.99 plus tax and Pennybandz for $4.99 plus tax are for sale in the gift shop.

11/19/24: I did a mail off to this place and received the new pressed pennies on 11/19/24. The pennies looked great.

4/7/2025: Both machines were not in the museum and were away for repairs. Employee did not have a return date for the machines. The bracelets and penny collector books are still available for sale.
