It continually ranks in the top ten largest fairs in the United States and includes agricultural and pastoral displays and shows, amusement rides, and concert series.
The 2024 Washington State Fair Fair is open August 30th through September 22 2024.
Hours of operation: Times vary, check website for exact times but open at least 10:30 am to 9:30 pm. Closed Tuesdays. Parking for a fee is across the street.
Admission: You must pay entry admission to access all penny machines and the PNNA booth. There are some free admission days: check the website. Weekdays: General (ages 13+) $16, Seniors (ages 65+) $13, Child (ages 6 - 12) $13, Kids (ages 5 & under) free. Weekends General (ages 13+) $20, Seniors (ages 65+) $15, Child (ages 6 - 12) $15, Kids (ages 5 & under) free. Online prices are cheaper.
There are 3 penny machines and a free yearly design from the Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association (PNNA) within the Fairgrounds. Find the PDF map from Washington State Fair website that shows the location of the penny machines. Look for the © within the symbols legend and then locate the penny machines on the map. The PNNA booth location is not identified within the map.
Machine 3: is inside the North A entrance of the Showplex.

The Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association (PNNA) has their educational booth in the Pavilion Market Place upstairs in the Hobby Hall and gives away a single die, hand-cranked elongated designed especially for the current year by Ray J. Fiorini from the PNNA and the South Hill Coin Club in Puyallup, WA. The die maker's initials are on the die.
