66-250 Kamehameha Highway Oahu - Haleiwa, HI , 96712 Phone: 808-637-2288 The old name for the store was the Kama'aina Marketplace. People here are very nice. Storefront is very attractive.
The machine is outside the main entrance to the store when open (when the store is closed, the machine is locked up). Designs are:
1) 'I Saw the Sunset in Haleiwa', Palm Tree,
2) 'Rainbow Bridge, Haleiwa, HI', bridge,
3) 'Haleiwa, HI', surfer on a board on a wave,
4) 'Haleiwa South Shore', sign.
Caution, the coin plunger has to be pushed in slowly so that your unpressed penny will not fly out. It presses very nicely!
Note: if you want the "heads" side of the coin on the back of the pressed penny, turn head of penny AWAY from quarters before inserting it into machine for pressing (the opposite of most machines).
TOKENS Retired. Were in blister packs on pegged wall displayer in the corner of the store.
There are 3 different penny books, Hawaii Collectible coin album, United States Souvenir coin album, plain book with pre pressed pennies (I only saw a sample of this one but they might have more in the back)
11/8/23: Worker said they do not sell tokens.
2/12/24: no tokens,
Machine is outside and had an out of order sign on it, we tried it and it rolls fantastic on copper.
Probably had out of order sign because the wood of the frame is splitting and the acrylic parts are separating, the press inside is not secured to the base so be very careful! |
