Weber State University is a co-educational, publicly supported university offering professional, liberal arts and technical certificates, as well as associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees. Weber State University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Programs throughout the university are accredited as well.
The school was founded in 1889 as Weber Stake Academy, later changing names to Weber Academy, Weber Normal College, and Weber College. Weber College became a junior college in 1933, and in 1962 became Weber State College. It gained university status in 1991, when it was renamed to its current name of Weber State University.

Machine 1 is in the bookstore in the Shepherd Union building next to the elevator. Designs are:
1) Says Weber State University , Engineering Technology and has a wild cat ( the school mascott ) on it ,
2) Has a shield with a W on it and says weber State University , Engineering Technology
3) Says home of the wild cats also has a shield with a W and says alumni on it and says Ogden Utah
4) Similar to #3, also has a shield with a W and says alumni but has a graduation cap and diploma on it.

Machine 2 is located on the first floor of the Engineering Technology building, near the north side common area. All have "Weber State University" and "Engineering Technology" on them. Designs are:
1) Gears,
2) A Wildcat, mascot
3) the Weber State "W" crossed with a ruler and another engineering tool,
4) a man standing within a large gear.
