Comments:	As of 5/31/13 the Pier has closed. No information available as to the future of the 3 machines. The Pier is expected to be demolished this summer.<p> Although The Pier is a St. Petersburg landmark, its inverted pyramid design has been slated for demolition (probably in 2013). The city is considering alternative modern designs to replace it, but there are petition drives in the works to bring demolition and replacement issue to a public vote.
