Rainforest Café is a themed restaurant chain owned by Landry's, Inc. of Houston, Texas. The first location opened on February 3, 1994. Each Rainforest Café restaurant is designed to depict some features of a rainforest, including plant growth, mist, waterfalls, animatronic robots of animals and insects. Some animals include elephants, gorillas, jaguars and the recently added tigers. To enhance this theme, the restaurants are populated by animatronic figures.

Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Sunday 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. The Second Edition penny book is for sale for $8.00 plus tax. Plenty of free parking at the Mall.

Machine 2 (Placed 4/2023) is outside the restaurant near the gift shop area, next to the mushroom. Cost to press: $1.00 each design (dollar bills only; no quarters accepted) OR credit card for all 3 designs. No pennies required; presses a pre-loaded zinc penny. Designs all have a pennycollector.com beaded border with 'Rainforest Cafe':
1. (V) Rio the bird waving with 'Rio'.
2. (V) Bamba the gorilla marching strong with 'Bamba'.
3. (V) Cha Cha the frog gesturing with 'Cha Cha'.

03/07/24: The Rainforest Cafe is in the west end of the mall near to Dick's Sporting Goods.
The machine is inside the gift shop next to the coke machine. The frog penny is rolling short. The other 2 are pressing fine. This is a zinc machine for $1 per penny. They still have penny books for $8.00 + tx. JLT
