Comments:	Cabazon Dinosaurs, formerly Claude Bell's Dinosaurs, is a roadside attraction featuring two enormous, steel-and-concrete dinosaurs named Dinny the Dinosaur and Mr. Rex. Located just west of Palm Springs, the 150-foot-long Brontosaurus (Dinny) and the 65-foot-tall Tyrannosaurus rex (Mr. Rex) are visible from the freeway to travelers passing by on Southern California's Interstate 10. The roadside dinosaurs are best known for their appearance in the 1985 film Pee-wee's Big Adventure. Sculptor and theme park artist Claude Bell began the construction of the dinosaurs in 1964. Dinny and Mr. Rex were completed in 1975 and 1986, respectively. The Cabazon Dinosaurs has been the site of a roadside creationist museum and gift shop since 1986.<p> Hours of operation: <br> Summer hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 8:00 pm, <br> Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (ticket sales end at 7:30pm). <br> Winter hours: Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, <br> Saturday, Sunday, Holidays 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. <br> You must pay admission to access the machines.
