The historic railroad offers train rides, food service, gold panning, a logging museum, a gift shop and the Kids’ Depot Toy Store.
Hours of operation: April through October (sometimes as late as the end of November). Usually open at 9:30 am. and the first train is at 11:00 am. Closing times seasonally vary. Check out the online calendar for the train run times for each date. You do not have to purchase a train ticket to access the penny machine.
Parking is limited and may be filled with train ticket holders.
CAUTION! This PennyMen machine does not speed roll. When you insert the second round of penny/quarters, the machine will eat your quarters and the unrolled penny will come out the pressed penny slot.
Machine 2 (Placed 2016) is outside in front of the Kids’ Depot Toy Store, one level down from the ticket office. Cost to press: 51¢ each design. Designs all have a pennycollector.com beaded border with 'Yosemite'.

October 24, 2023. The penny machine is rolling well centered excellent images with slight tails on 95% copper pre-1982 pennies. This machine is very stiff and hard to crank. Make sure you are exactly lined up on the arrows or it will mis-press. MWHTH |
