Sid Grauman's second theatre in Hollywood opened on May 18, 1927 with Cecil B. DeMille's film "King of Kings." Designed by Meyer & Holler and oriental in its colorful decor. Its forecourt, where movie star hand and footprints are preserved in cement, is a top tourist attraction. Declared: 6/5/68
