Established in 1973, it was the first science museum to combine interactive science exhibits with a planetarium and an IMAX Dome (OMNIMAX) theater, setting the standard that most major science museums follow today. It is the best-attended museum in the city and is a Top 10 attraction in San Diego.
Machine 7: When entering the building from the Bea Evenson Fountain, the machine can be found on the right-hand side after immediately entering the gift/souvenir shop, next to a stamps machine. All designs have “Ruben H. Fleet Science Center”. Designs are:
1) Double helix DNA (Similar to retired machine #4),
2) Space shuttle blasting off on booster rockets (Similar to retired machine #4),
3) Roaring T-Rex dinosaur and behind is a dinosaur looking left (Similar to retired machine #5),

12/25/22: Machine is behind a column just past the gift shop. You can't see it from inside the gift shop. I didn't pay admission to go to the gift shop. Pennies are $1.01 each. Rolling great on copper.
