The lower cable station is at an altitude of 302 m on Tafelberg Road near Kloof Nek. The upper cable station in on the western most end of the Table Mountain plateau, at an altitude of 1067 m. The upper cable station offers views over Cape Town, Table Bay and Robben Island to the north, and the Atlantic seaboard to the west and south.
