The Centre pays homage to the 45,000 Canadians who lost their lives during the War, of which 5,500 were killed during the Battle of Normandy and 359 on D-Day. Opened in 2003 by veterans and volunteers with a vision to create a permanent memorial to all Canadians who served during the Second World War, the Centre’s mandate is to preserve this legacy for future generations through education and remembrance.<p> The Eurocent machine is located in the main hall. You do not have to path admission to access the machine. Hours of operation: January closed. February 10:00 am to 17:00 (5:00 pm). March 10:00 am to 18:00 (6:00 pm). April through September 9:30 am to 19:00 (7:00 pm). October 10:00 am to 18:00 (6:00 pm). November through December 10:00 am to 17:00 (5:00 pm). Closed December 25.
