Comments:	5/22/24: I visited the location, and spoke to someone at the front help desk who informed me that the machine was gone and would not be returning at all in the future. <p> The Virginia Historical Society (VHS) was founded in 1831 as the Virginia Historical and Philosophical Society and is headquartered in Richmond. It is a major repository, research, and teaching center for Virginia history.<br> One of the largest historical societies in the country, the VHS has thirteen exhibition galleries occupying more than 25,000 square feet and has the largest display of Virginia artifacts on permanent view. The VHS is the only museum with all of Virginia’s history under one roof — all centuries, all regions, and all topics are covered.<p> Hours are: Monday–Saturday 10–5 \| Sunday 1–5 (galleries/shop only) <p> Design is: <br> 1) 'Virginia Historical Society Richmond, VA', horse. <p> 08/31/22: Stopped here today and the employee we spoke with said the machine is out for repairs. She said there have been a great many people coming in asking about the machine. JLT <br> 10/15/22: Stopped in to get a pressed penny and the employee we spoke with said the machine is in storage due to renovation work, but may be put back out again in the near future.
