Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is managed by the Bureau of Land Management and offers enticements of a different nature including a 13-mile scenic drive, miles of hiking trails, rock climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking, road biking, picnic areas, nature observing and visitor center with indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as a book store. The conservation area showcases a set of large red rock formations, a set of sandstone peaks, and walls which were formed by thrust faults including the Keystone Thrust. Red Rock Canyon is located about 18 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip.

Hours of operation for the Visitors Center: Daily 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. You must pay admission to access this machine.
Daily Car/Truck fee - $20, Daily Motorcycle Fee - $10, Daily Bicycle Fee - $8, Daily Pedestrian Fee - $5, Commercial Tour Vehicle Fee - $20 per vehicle + $5 per person, and the Red Rock Annual Pass - $50 per car load. All types of America the Beautiful passes are accepted.
Plenty of free parking at the Visitor Center and limited parking inside the park on the scenic route.

2024 Token Machine is inside the Visitor Center entrance doors on the right. The token machine has two money/token slots in the front and one on each side: one slot for each design. Each token cost $2 and are .999% copper. The machine accepts $1, $5, $10, or $20 bills only. CAUTION! THE TOKEN MACHINE DOES NOT GIVE CHANGE. Designs all have 'Preserve & Conserve' on the front:
1) Raccoon and paw prints with 'Ringtail'.
2) Scorpion with 'Scorpion'.
3) Quail and quail tracks with 'Gambel's Quail'.
4) Tortoise with 'Max'.
