The Washington State Capitol Campus is the home of the government of the state of Washington. It contains chambers for the Washington State Legislature and offices for the governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state and treasurer and is part of a campus consisting of several buildings. Buildings for the Washington Supreme Court, executive agencies and the Washington Governor's Mansion are part of the capitol campus. The Capitol Campus was placed on the National Register of Historic Districts in 1974 and contains or contributes to some of the most valued views in the State including the Olympic Mountains, Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier, the Capitol Dome and the Capitol Group of buildings on the hill.

The penny machine is located inside the Temple of Justice building on the right side, to the left of the Law Library entrance in the hallway. Hours of operation: Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Closed Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas day (December 25th) and New Years day (January 1st). Free 1/2 hour parking in the Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater Visitor Information Center parking lot. Free 1 hour street parking is available within a few blocks radius.

If you are short on time there is a wooden box at the register with all the coins available for Legislative Gift Center, Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater Tourism Information Center and the Temple of Justice Building. They are .51 each. But, if you want to press your own designs, from here you can get to the Tumwater/Olympia Visitor's Information Center machine (4 designs) and the Legislative Gift Center machine (4 designs) within an easy 30 minute round trip walk.

12/31/22: The machine has moved to the back of the Legislative Building Gift Shop. It is located in the back of the gift shop next to the machine from the Temple of Justice Building
