The museum is located near many paleontological and archaeological sites in a region known as Castle Country, notably in the San Rafael Swell and nearby canyons throughout the Book Cliffs area such as Nine Mile Canyon and Range Creek Canyon.
Hours of operation: Sunday through Wednesday 9:00 am 5:00 pm, Thursday through Saturday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Closed
Thanksgiving, December 24, 25 and January 1. You do not have to pay admission to access the machine. Penny Passport book ($5.99 plus tax), Pennybandz ($3.49 plus tax) and Pennypalz ($3.49 plus tax) for sale in the gift shop. Plenty of free parking.
